Alll interested and Qualified Candidates are hereby advise to send in applications for admission into any Tertiary Institution in Nigeria through the Unified Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the 2017/2018 academic session.
Candidates who are seeking admission can now apply officially for admission into Federal and State Universities, Federal and State Polytechnics, and Federal and State Colleges of Education including Private Tertiary Institutions in the country.

JAMB was established in the year 1978 and empowered among others to conduct Matriculation Examination for entry into all Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education (by whatever name called) in Nigeria.
The requirement for this yearly examination, which is graded over 400 marks, is your Secondary School Certificate Examination. (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

Officially as announced, you can get your forms from the following banks
- First Bank
- Skye Bank
- Union Bank
- Zenith Bank
The officials announced that registration will start on the 20th of December, 2016, and it is expected to end on the 9th of February, 2017.
That is to say the website for registration will close on Friday, the 9th of February, 2017 and you won’t be able to register.
Jambites are advise that irrespective of their choice of course of study or method of testing, they will also be tested on a general book.
The name of the book is; “The Last Days at Forcados High School.” by A. H. Mohammed. So endeavour to get one and start reading.
During the process of your Jamb 2017 registration, Jamb has made it mandatory to give you the following listed items:
- Soft copy of current JAMB Syllabus for the examination.
- Admission procedure and requirements of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, which also include the available programmes of study in the institutions.
2017/2018 JAMB Requirements for Admission
Candidates who wishes to register for 2017/2018 JAMB examination should please take note that the general entry requirements, which is approved for admission into the following listed below;
- First Degree,
- National Diploma (ND),
- National Innovation Diploma (NID),
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes,
- In Universities,
- Including other Degree-Awarding Institutions,
- Innovation Enterprise Institutes,
- Colleges of Education.
Its pertinent to note that a matriculated student in any university is not eligible and qualified to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) except those who are transferring from foreign Universities.
